Objectives:

Students will present research reports about the birds they’ve chosen to the class in the final part of the series.

*IMPORTANT NOTE: The goal of this lesson is for students to share something new with their classmates. Students can present reports about one of the birds covered in the previous lesson if they want, but the goal is for them to share a report about a bird not mentioned in the previous lesson.*

Materials:

Student Research Reports on the birds they chose.

Introduction (2 Mins):

Assign an order for the students to present their reports.

Student Reporting (25 Mins)

Prompt students to begin taking turns giving their reports. Give students the option of taking questions from fellow students when they’ve finished reading their reports.

Conclusion (3 minutes):

Facilitate a brief discussion about the points students brought up in their reports and commend students for their efforts. Encourage them to continue using their reporting skills to learn more about the world around them.

Assessment:

Assess student comprehension and engagement through active participation in reporting and discussions.
