Start Time:
End Time:
Duration: 30 minutes
Class Description
This class will help students explore the amazing groups of animals that live all around us. Students will learn the difference between vertebrates and invertebrates. We’ll look at real examples and play quick sorting games to help students practice identifying each type. By the end of class, students will feel confident naming animal groups and spotting whether a creature has a backbone or not.
Materials Needed:
Build Your Own Invertebrate Experiment:
Using play‑dough, pipe cleaners, or paper scraps, students create their own imaginary invertebrate and explain how it moves without a backbone. It’s creative, silly, and reinforces the concept of flexible bodies.
